Using photo etching, US Sign turns your CAD drawings into finished, acid etched metal parts.
Etched
The material specified is coated with a light sensitive polymer, imaged with a photo tool using UV light, developed much like lm, and then chemically etched. Substrates can be either fabricated or solid cut metal.
Etch and paint fill is recommended when graphics on a plaque are too small, or require too much detail to be applied dimensionally. Using the latest photo etching technology in combination with our proprietary fabrication process, we provide a product superior in quality and cost. Our plaque backgrounds are fabricated rather than cast or cut from solid plate material (the traditional methods), thus making them less expensive. Our plaques are available with beveled returns or right angle returns. Etched lettering can be raised or recessed, with single or multiple paint fill.

The gauge of material used will vary depending on the height and depth specified. We will always use a gauge sufficient enough to prevent oil canning.

Mounting
For fabricated backgrounds, a soldered L-clip or strap with riv-nut for a stud mount or a soldered strap for vhb tape. For solid cut backgrounds, the piece is drilled and tapped for stud mount or vhb tape applied.
